Neuro Massage FAQs
Neurological disabilities are diseases that influence the cerebrum, spine and spinal nerves that associate them. More than 600 diseases are referred to as neurological illnesses; Parkinson’s sickness, stroke, epilepsy, various sclerosis, and cerebral paralysis. Side effects related to neurological disarranges include decreased adaptability, the scope of development, an expansion in agony, solid fit, and tight muscles.
Numerous symptoms related to neurological disabilities can be tended to through massage treatment which can empower the person to pick up a greater personal satisfaction.
Massage has been utilised broadly as a healing technique for a long time and is viewed as a powerful treatment and management procedure for people experiencing neurological disabilities by focusing on immediate side effects.
After a massage, you will notice that your hands, legs, or feet may feel less swollen with healthier skin colour. This results because massage therapy helps to move the fluid pooled up in that area through the direction of movement and help to improve your circulation.
Our therapist will visit you at your pre-arranged appointment at your preferred location.
We can provide the massage on a massage table, we can massage you in your bed, hospital bed or on your home plinth, in a supported chair or wheelchair wherever you feel comfortable. We have many other options and can discuss them with you during or prior to the first visit. Many of our therapists can assist with transfers if required.
If this is your first appointment, the therapist will conduct a full consultation with you or your carer, confirming any medical information they need to be made aware of and your suitability for treatment.
When discussing treatment preferences, including positioning and particular areas you wish to work on or in which you’re feeling pain, we will advise how we intend to target those areas. The therapist will work hard to ensure you are comfortable during this time, but you should always make them aware if you feel uncomfortable. Everybody and every injury or condition are different, and it’s important to us that we understand your needs.
